Brahim Lounis教授在法国巴黎高等师范学校获得博士学位,研究方向为激光冷却和俘获原子。从1993年开始在法国波尔多大学历任助理教授、副教授和教授职务,在单分子量子光学方面做出了先驱性的工作,并在国际上首次开发出基于有机单分子的单光子发射源。Brahim Lounis教授目前的研究方向为光和材料的相互作用与纳米光学,致力于开发一系列光学技术进行单个纳米材料的探测与光谱研究,并推动纳米材料在量子光学、凝聚态物理和生物成像等方面的应用。Brahim Lounis教授是法国科学院 "Jacques Herbrand Grand Price" 的获得者,在2001年被提名为"Institut Universitaire de France"的成员,之后获得法国科学院 "Alfred Verdaguer Price" 奖项。
