Optical frequency combs are cornerstones of modern-day information science. However, it is challenging to tune the frequecy combs with an electric field, whether in microcavities or fibre cavities. Arising from its exceptional Fermi–Dirac tunability and ultrafast carrier mobility, graphene has a complex optical dispersion determined by its optical conductivity, which can be tuned through a gate voltage. By combining the graphene heteroustructure and chipscale microresonators, we demonstrate the gated intracavity tunability of graphene-based optical frequency combs. We use this to produce charge-tunable primary comb lines, controllable Cherenkov radiation and controllable soliton states all-in-one.
姚佰承,博士,毕业于电子科技大学,先后任美国加州大学洛杉矶分校联合培养博士和英国剑桥大学博士后副研究员,现任电子科技大学教授。研究方向为光纤光学、微纳光电子学及其信息器件实现。在《Nature》、《Nature Photonics》、《Nano Letters》等期刊和CLEO、OFS等会议上发表学术论文40余篇,Google他引450余次,授权美国专利2项,中国专利4项。担任《Nature Commnucations》、《Light: Science and Applications》、《Optics Express》、《Optics Letters》等期刊审稿人。
