The classfication and lattice model construction of symmetry protected topological (SPT) phases in interacting fermion systems are very interesting but challenging. In this talk, I will address this problem based on the fluctuation domain wall picture. I will discuss new types of topological insulator/superconductor in interacting fermion systems with co-planar spin order.
Dr. Zhengcheng Gu is now an associate Professor in Physics Department, Chinese University of HK. Academic qualifications:Bachelor, Fundamental Science, 1999-2003 Tsinghua UniversityPh.D., Physics, 2003-2007 Center for Advanced Study, Tsinghua UniversityPrevious academic positions held:Adjunct Professor , 2015-2020, University of Waterloo.(No Pay)Director's Fellow, 2012-2016, Perimeter Institute.Associate Specialist, 2009-2012, Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, UCSB.Postdoctoral Fellow, 2007-2009, MIT (Prof. Xiao-Gang Wen) Prof. Gu’s research area is the theoretical study of strongly correlated quantum systems. At present, his research has been focused on developing new analytical and numerical methods to understand topological phenomena in strongly correlated quantum systems. He is also interested in the realization of strongly correlated physics in cold atom/solid systems.
